Day 1 Depart USA
This evening make your way to San Francisco Airport for your overnight flight to Brisbane & connecting flight to Cairns. Other gateway cities are available, please call for details and pricing.
Day 2 International Date Line
During your flight, you will cross the International Date Line.
Day 3 Cairns
On arrival in Brisbane, clear Customs & Immigration before transferring to the Domestic Terminal for your flight to Cairns.
On arrival in Cairns, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Cairns for a 3-night stay.
Day 4: Cairns (B,L)
Join your cruise on the Dreamtime Dive and Snorkel vessel at Marlin Marina, Cairns. On boarding, enjoy a delicious breakfast burger/wrap as you board before departing. Receive your snorkeling equipment for use throughout the day, followed by a safety briefing and Indigenous welcome and acknowledgement. Arrive at your first location where morning tea is served and water activities commence, including snorkeling and diving (additional expense). Lunch is served enroute to the second site where water activities continue. Afternoon tea will be served before departing the reef to head home, and the opportunity to interact with the Indigenous Guides as you travel back to Cairns.
Day 5: Cairns
Enjoy a morning at leisure.
This afternoon travel to the Barron River, located 20 minutes north of Cairns, for an afternoon of white water rafting with a combination of grade 2 and 3 rapids. The tour starts with a pickup from one of many central locations before the short drive to our put in point in the spectacular Barron Gorge. You’ll meet your River Guide and fellow paddlers and get fitted with your helmet and life jacket, before receiving a comprehensive safety briefing. Once in the raft you’ll receive further briefing and paddling instructions before its time to hit the white water. Enjoy some easy, fun rapids while you get a feel for the water before tackling the larger grade 3 rapids, including the infamous Rooster Tail, before returning to Cairns.
Day 6: Gold Coast
Transfer to Cairns Airport for your flight to Brisbane. On arrival, transfer to the Gold Coast by private vehicle. The remainder of your day is leisure.
Day 7: Gold Coast
Make your own way to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, the Gold Coast’s leading native wildlife and coastal rainforest experience. Spread across 27 hectares, you will have the opportunity to cuddle koalas, feed a range of kangaroos, enjoy Aboriginal performances and much more. Twice daily the park even hosts a wild bird feeding opportunity that sees you enjoy the chance to have birds land on your shoulders, head, and arms to enjoy the food you have for them. Enjoy the ultimate day out at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary with this Experience Pass that includes entry to Currumbin Sanctuary as well as the TreeTop Challenge. With over 80 challenges including eleven incredible zip line opportunities with one even travelling directly over the crocodile enclosure, this exciting aerial adventure activity will have you testing all your skills. Designed to test not only your fitness levels but to also get your adrenaline pumping, this experience will have you entertained for hours. There are five courses available that allows you to enjoy different sections of the bushland. Sessions are available twice a day at 9.30am and 12.30pm.
Day 8: Brisbane (B)
An early rise is rewarded with a hot air balloon flight with breakfast at O’Reilly’s Vineyard Breakfast. Begin the day by floating gently above the spectacular Gold Coast Hinterland. Watch the sun rise over the rolling hills and enjoy sweeping views of Mt Tamborine, Lamington National Park and towards the shimmering tall towers of the Gold Coast skyline as they enjoy a classic balloon flight. Afterwards enjoy breakfast in the gracious ambience of O’Reilly’s Grand Homestead with its wide verandahs and high ceilings. Take a stroll in the tranquil grounds or enjoy a wine tasting at the Cellar Door.
Return to your Gold Coast hotel to meet your driver and transfer to your hotel in Brisbane for a three-night stay.
Day 9: Brisbane (L)
This morning, transfer to Holt Street Wharf to join your Snorkel the Wrecks Day Cruise. The Wrecks are home to a large variety of different species of reef fish, coral formations, and marine life. The snorkel tour is a much safer experience as you are taken to the wrecks by boat so there is no need to battle the currents and swim there yourself. This tour includes a guide and snorkel equipment (wetsuits, fins, mask, snorkel, life jacket (if required), pool noodles (for flotation) and prescription masks). Enjoy a full day out before returning to Brisbane.
Day 10: Brisbane
Today is free to explore Brisbane at your leisure.
Late this afternoon, make your way to the Story Bridge Climb departure point. The climb begins after sunset and captures the sparkling lights from the city center and the vast canopy of Brisbane’s skyline. This fun and informative guided tour takes in a full 360-degree panorama of Brisbane’s night skyline plus the ever-changing Story Bridge LED lighting system. After your expert Climb Leader describes the route and covers all-important safety procedures, you’ll depart and walk towards the river to start your climb. The climb starts up through the inner Eastern bridge arm, climbing level with one of Brisbane’s busiest commute points and then ascending straight up the south-eastern cantilever arm that stretches over the Brisbane River and reaches up into the sky. Before you know it, you’re celebrating with your climb group on the summit platform, where you’ll get your bearings and learn the history of the city and fun facts about the amazing 360 panoramic sight before you. Venturing further along you’ll explore the bridge from a different angle, travelling approximately halfway across the river below before returning to the top platform for a final climb group photo before you descend back to our Climb base.
Day 11: Depart Brisbane
This morning, transfer to Brisbane Airport for your return flight to the US.
