Day 1: Depart USA

Make your way to Los Angeles Airport for your overnight flight to Sydney. If you require a connecting flight from another US gateway, please let us know and we can price your airfare accordingly.

Day 2: International Date Line

During your flight, you will cross the International Date Line.

Day 3: Melbourne

After you clear Customs & Immigration, you will met in the baggage hall and transferred to your hotel for a 4-night stay. The remainder of your day day is free to explore the city at your leisure.

Day 4: Yarra Valley (L)

Experience the delights of Victoria’s wine country on this Yarra Valley wine tour from Melbourne. With an informative wine guide, you’ll visit four popular wineries: Balgownie Estate, Steels Gate Winery, Greenstone Vineyards, and Yering Farm. Enjoy plenty of tastings as well as a winery lunch while you learn about winemaking in Australian and admire the picturesque landscapes.

Day 5: Great Ocean Road (L)

Experience this majestic coastal drive-in style with your small group and enjoy time to relax and fully appreciate the wonders of this world-famous touring route. Stay on the lookout for some very special animals including whales, dolphins, echidnas and bandicoots. Your camera will get a good workout along this exciting journey where we will stop for plenty of photo opportunities. To begin, your expert Oceania Guide will collect you from your Melbourne hotel to commence your exciting road trip. Your next stop will be at Apollo Bay, a tranquil seaside town which is most noteworthy for its setting among the soft rolling hills. It offers a great selection of cafes and restaurants where you can enjoy some lunch. Following this, we will enjoy a walk in the forest in the Otway Ranges. A truly unique day out, capped off by a visit to the ancient rock formations of the Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge. Finally, your Oceania guide will transfer you back to the comfort of your hotel in Melbourne.

Day 6: Melbourne

Day 7: Melbourne – Hobart

Day 8: Hobart (L)

Spend the morning exploring Tasmania’s capital. Hobart is a quaint city that features many preserved colonial sandstone buildings. The vibrant waterfront and Salamanca Place were once the hub of a thriving whaling industry. Visit nearby Battery Point where the historic buildings vary from grand homes to the humble worker’s cottages. Enjoy a scenic drive to the alpine wilderness of Mt Wellington, a 1270m peak, which provides the dramatic backdrop to the city and offers stunning views over Hobart and beyond (weather dependent) before we take you back to your accommodation.

Day 9: Port Arthur

Embark on an action-packed day in Tasmania, celebrating its unique charm. Journey from Hobart to the breathtaking Tasman Peninsula, where the Southern Ocean has sculpted awe-inspiring caves and arches. Walk along towering cliffs, witness giant waves at Pirates Bay, Waterfall Bay, Tasman Arch, and Devil’s Kitchen. Encounter Tasmanian Devils at the Unzoo, joining a feeding frenzy and hand-feeding wallabies. Explore the well-preserved ruins of Port Arthur, a World Heritage site, with a harbor cruise and site talks. Conclude your adventure in historic Richmond, home to Australia’s oldest bridge. Day 10: Hobart

Enjoy a full day tour from Hobart and spend a day on the Tasman Peninsula including return guided bus tour, 3 hour Wilderness Cruise, Tasmanian Devil Unzoo entry, morning tea and lunch. Robert Pennicott’s award-winning three hour wilderness and wildlife cruise takes you along the spectacular coastline between Eaglehawk Neck and Port Arthur. Travel beneath the highest vertical sea cliffs in the Southern Hemisphere at Cape Pillar, and explore waterfalls, rock formations, archways and deep sea caves. The coastline is home to a variety of wildlife including seals, migrating whales, dolphins and abundant sea birds. Day 11: Hobart – Adelaide

Transfer to Hobart Airport for your flight to Adelaide. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for a 4-night stay.

Day 12: Barossa Valley (B,L)

Travel from Adelaide to the renowned Barossa wine region, beginning at Pindarie, an award-winning cellar door with a homestead feel. Sample their famous blends, enjoy morning tea with stunning vineyard views, and then visit Provenance Barossa, the original home of Penfolds, offering unique experiences with food and beverage outlets. At Lambert Estate in Angaston, savor a structured wine tasting, local seasonal produce, and a delectable main course, optionally complemented by their impressive wine selection or a Chocolatier coffee. Day 13: Kangaroo Island (L)

Your coach and local guide will lead a tour of this nature-based gem, starting with Seal Bay Conservation Park and a guided beach walk among rare sea lions. Enjoy a two-course lunch.
